While there are times significant change can be made remember it’s often the small changes that will ultimately change your life trajectory.
How can you work toward self-improvement?
- Get on top of your finances. Sorting out your finances will free you from continued concern and worry, and may even help make you feel more in control.
- Take charge of your finances. Consider your income and expenditures, and set financial goals that will make you happy. You could save for a holiday, home improvements, or some other satisfying reward.

2. Repair broken relationships. Friendships and relationships are a key part of a healthy, well-balanced life. Sometimes, we can lose touch with friends and family, and it’s important to reach out and repair broken or fractured relationships.
- Take some time to reconnect with someone you’ve been meaning to catch up with.
- Plan regular sessions in which you reconnect with friends. This will help remind you of how fortunate you are and will make you feel more supported, and also more supportive.
- Build a social calendar into your life. You will learn so much from those around you, and you can teach others and pass on your wisdom. Knowledge is power!
3. Focus on improving your well-being and health. Prioritizing your health isn’t something that you should only do in January. Move your body at least 30 minutes a day. Fuel your body with at least nine to thirteen servings of fruits and vegetables daily for optimal health. Secure a life coach/therapist to maintain emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
